Chelsy & Scott chose the Tahoe Blue Estate for their intimate September destination wedding
They were coming in from the midwest and most of their family and friends had never even been to Lake Tahoe before. Needless to say, they chose a stunning spot for their wedding day as the Tahoe Blue Estate really showcased panoramic lake views and sweeping mountain vistas that did not disappoint. We had never been to the estate before and we too were more than impressed but as photographers happy with the backdrop we had to work with that day.
We arrived quite a bit early just so we could acclimate ourselves with the estate and to scope out the best photo locations.
Not only is the sites scenery just breathtaking, but the estate itself was unbelievable. The interior of this home was truly remarkable. Honestly! Granite boulders were incorporated as features inside of the home which mirrored the outside landscape. The interior design was just gorgeous and we absolutely loved the artwork on display throughout the home.
After cruising around the site, we then met up with our bride and groom to capture some getting ready images.
Having both of us there as a husband and wife team really helps with the timeline as Sandra hangs out with the ladies and Josh is with the guys. Chelsy and Scott decided on a first look to have a special moment of just the two of them before the ceremony. We chose a really pretty forested area that also showcased lake views as well. These first looks are always one of our favorite moments to capture. Not only does it give them a time to relax beforehand, but it also gives us an opportunity to capture some really sweet memories for just the two of them.
Taking advantage of the different floors of the home, they had their cocktail hour and dinner reception and on the main level.
They then took the party down below where there was a more loungy vibe. This is where they chose to have an impromptu first dance along with a father/daughter and mother/son dance. Being able to just be laid back about timing and the wedding day flow is one of the things that makes small weddings so very close to our heart. They chose to have just their closest family and friends in attendance and we really got to know the crowd and felt the love all around.
